Frenship ISD Athletics have been a vital part of culture and identity of Frenship ISD since its founding in 1936. Stemming from the earliest years of football and basketball competition, Frenship now supports 18 varsity sports including individual, team, and co-ed competition. At Frenship, there are no cubs, no variety of mascots at our eight elementary campuses, and no lady tigers. From Pre-Kindergarten through high school graduation and beyond, everyone is a Tiger.
Frenship's commitment to the lifechanging experiences gained through extracurricular competition of any kind has been strong throughout the district's long history. That commitment, however, does not end with the varsity ranks. Frenship Athletics are active and successful at our three middle schools and the Ninth Grade Center. Across these campuses and Frenship High School, over 2,000 athletes, managers, and student trainers participate in Frenship athletics. These dedicated students, who represent one fifth of the overall enrollment of Frenship ISD, will carry the lessons they've learned on the fields, courts, mats, courses, and pitches of competition into all walks of life. But they will always remain Tigers.
