Frenship ISD Strategic Plan

For years, Frenship has been preparing for future growth. Part of that planning included conducting demographic studies for future enrollment projections to effectively address growth patterns and the adoption of the Frenship ISD Strategic Plan. During the 2016-2017 school year, dozens of community members, parents, students, and educators came together to create Frenship's Strategic Plan comprising of our shared beliefs, strategic measurables, and goals such as positively seeking innovative solutions to address current and future growth while honoring Frenship's rich tradition of excellence.

Long Range Planning Committee

Frenship ISD formed a Long Range Planning Committee in the Fall of 2019 to help address continued growth.

The Long Range Planning Committee consisted of nearly 30 business owners, parents, and other stakeholders. This committee was tasked with determining facility solutions for grades 9-12. The group of community members met over the course of three months to review enrollment data and projections, residential/commercial development in Frenship ISD, tour Frenship facilities and held in-depth discussions on the future Frenship facility needs.

At the conclusion of five meetings and after careful thought and consideration, the committee reached consensus and made a recommendation to the Frenship ISD Board of Trustees to build a second high school to accommodate the growth. On December 5th, the Board of Trustees unanimously accepted the recommendation.

During the January 20, 2020 school board meeting, the Board of Trustees moved forward with the recommendation and approved the call for a May 2, 2020 bond election. Due to COVID-19, the Board of Trustees approved postponing the election to November 3, 2020.
