Frenship ISD staff and teachers are making daily contact with students during the COVID-19 crisis. Part of this communication is evaluating the need for technology resources during remote learning. If you have indicated a need for a device, Frenship ISD has a system for checking out those devices and will follow a check-out process for use of those devices. Please fill out this form if you are in need of a device: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MG3S3QT

Our Technology Department is creating hotspots offering WiFi connectivity at each campus. While you won't be able to enter the schools, we have expanded WiFi signals to the parking lot areas. Simply drive up to a Frenship campus, remain in your vehicle in the parking lot, connect your device to the campus WiFi, and remote learn away! Students can sign in with their Frenship user name and password, just as they would in a teacher’s classroom or computer labs. A student may use any of the hotspots regardless of what campus they attend.

Frenship Technology is working on rolling out WiFi accessibility for the remaining campuses.

Cybersecurity remains a top priority for all students during the transition to remote learning. If a student checks out a Frenship ISD device for use during remote learning, they are protected by firewalls through Frenship’s Virtual Private Network (VPN), as though they were on a campus. During deployment of the device, a student will sign in while on a campus to ensure the proper systems are in place.
