Hi! My name is Sabine Jacobson, and I joined the Frenship ISD team in July of 2021 as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator. In my role at Frenship ISD, involved in coordinating marketing, advertising, and public relations efforts for the district.
I’m originally from Waco, TX, but I moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University (Wreck ‘!). I met the love of my life while we were both in school, and we decided to make Lubbock home. I graduated with a BA in Communications Studies and later a MA in Mass Communication.
As I was working on my Masters, I started working at the Volunteer Center of Lubbock, in what was just supposed to be a summer fellowship. I quickly fell in love with the work they did there and joined the team full time, eventually becoming the Assistant Director. While I was there, I got to be involved in many of their work, from providing leadership training to adults and students, to event planning, to working on communications efforts, and more.
After five years at the Volunteer Center, I had the opportunity to join the United Family’s marketing team as their Digital Engagement Specialist, where I had the chance to work on social media, websites, and other digital avenues for multiple brands that fall under the United Family banner, including United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos, and Albertsons Market.
Outside of work, I am involved in the Young Professionals of Lubbock, where I had the privilege of serving as the 2020 Chair, the Lubbock HYPE committee, and the Junior League of Lubbock, where I serve as the Assistant Chair for the Community Focus Area committee.
