Device Pickup

Frenship Virtual Learners who need technology assistance can check out a device from their home campus. If you have questions or need a device for your Virtual Learner, please contact your child's virtual teacher for more information on the device pick up process.

Internet Connectivity Assistance
Frenship will also provide hotspots for Virtual Learners who need assistance with WiFi connectivity. Once the hotspot devices have arrived, Frenship will communicate with Virtual Learners on how to pick them up.
Frenship Hotspots

The Frenship Technology Department has created hotspots at each campus with expanded WiFi signals that reach the parking lot areas. A Virtual Learner can simply drive up to a Frenship campus, remain in the vehicle in the parking lot, and connect their device to the campus WiFi.  Students can sign in with their Frenship user name and password, just as they would in a teacher’s classroom or computer labs. A student may use any of the hotspots regardless of what campus they attend.

Current Campus Hotspots:

  • Bennett Elementary
  • Crestview Elementary
  • Legacy Elementary
  • North Ridge Elementary
  • Oak Ridge Elementary
  • Upland Heights Elementary
  • Westwind Elementary
  • Willow Bend Elementary
  • Frenship Middle School
  • Heritage Middle School
  • Terra Vista Middle School
  • Ninth Grade Center
  • Frenship High School
  • Casey Administration Building

Cybersecurity remains a top priority for all students during the transition to remote learning. If a student checks out a Frenship ISD device for use during remote learning, they are protected by firewalls through Frenship’s Virtual Private Network (VPN), as though they were on a campus. During deployment of the device, a student will sign in while on a campus to ensure the proper systems are in place.
