Registration & Meet the Teacher

Due to COVID-19, we have made some changes to the 2020-2021 registration process. Please read the steps below carefully to complete your student’s registration process.

  • Parents/Guardians can begin completing the Online Verification in Skyward for new and returning students on Friday, July 24.
  • To complete the registration process, parents/guardians are required to turn in certain documentation. This process has CHANGED for the 2020-2021 school year, and Frenship is offering two options. Parents/Guardians can now provide required documents Online or In-Person. **If you complete registration online, this does NOT enroll your child in Virtual Learning.

    • RETURNING STUDENTS - Once Online Verification is complete for the returning student, no other steps or documents are needed UNLESS the campus notifies the parent/guardian that an updated immunization record is needed. If an immunization record is needed, they have 30 days to turn in the document after the first day of school.

**Please note, your child’s teacher assignment/schedules will be available to view in Skyward on Tuesday, August 11th at 8:00 a.m..

If you would like to complete the registration process in person, click here for a complete list of registration dates to turn in required documents.

In an effort to limit the number of people entering the facilities and to help enforce social distancing, only two parents/guardians and the student will be allowed to attend in-person registration.

How to Check Your Student's Schedule

How to check your student's schedule or teacher assignment:
  1. Log in to Family Skyward Access
  2. Click the "Open Family Access" button in the top, right corner
  3. Click the "All Students" drop down menu to select the student whose schedule you want to see (this is for families who have multiple children in the District)
  4. Select "Gradebook" or "Schedule" from the menu on the left. Both options will show you the schedule or teacher, but they appear in a different format.
Below is a step by step click sheet with photos that will walk you through this process:

Meet the Teacher & Open House

Frenship ISD will still provide parents and students the opportunity to attend Meet the Teacher and Open House events in person. However, the following will be implemented District-wide to help reduce the risk and spread of COVID-19.

  • Only two parents/guardians will be allowed to attend the event with their student during Meet the Teacher and Open House events.
  • Campuses will also implement a staggered schedule for the events to further limit the number of people inside the facilities at one time. Teachers will help enforce social distancing at events when feasible.
  • Frenship will follow any active Executive Orders that require face coverings or other health protocols.
On August 11, class schedules and teacher assignments will be made available on your Skyward Family Access account. Virtual Learners will not have an in-person Meet the Teacher event. On August 12 or 13, parents will receive a personal phone call from the student's virtual home room teacher. During this call, the teacher will provide more information on attendance, grading and assignment expectations, schedules, and much more.
This event will look different this year, but our teachers are excited to meet their students and parents! This year we will have a staggered schedule to reduce the number of families visiting classrooms at one time. During Meet the Teacher, parents and students will be able to:
  • Meet their teacher
  • Drop off school supplies (teachers have designated a spot for your child's supplies since there will be no shared supplies this year)
  • Provide transportation details
  • Pick up paperwork to take home and fill out
  • Learn more about the campus's new arrival and dismissal procedures
