The mission of the Frenship School Counseling Program is to provide support and guidance to all students as a means to foster academic success, post-secondary and career preparation, and personal/social development while empowering students to maximize their opportunity for choice.
What We Do
The Frenship Independent School District Counseling and Guidance Program is comprised of four components and is based on The Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs:
- Guidance Curriculum
- Responsive Services
- Individual Planning
- System Support
School Counselors must have a Master’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education, a Specialty in School Counseling, 2 years of classroom teaching experience, and pass the TExES exit level exam for school counselors.
