Title VI

The following information is provided in response to 42 U.S.C. § 2000d, et seq. of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, mandating notice of nondiscrimination and ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance based on race, color, or national origin.

In accordance with Title VI the District certifies it does not, and is required not to, discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin in its educational programs or activities. This requirement, not to discriminate, extends to employment.

Title VI Reporting

Any individual may report Title VI discrimination at any time, including during non-business hours, by mail, phone, or email.

During district business hours, reports may also be made in person.

Upon receiving an allegation of discrimination, the District will promptly respond in accordance with board policies FNG and DGBA.

Inquiries about the application of Title VI may be referred to the district’s Department of Administrative Services or Human Resource, to the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights of the Department of Education, or both.
