Girls Soccer Celebrates Bi-District Championship

The Tigers celebrated a major win against El Paso Eastwood making them the Bi-District Champions; the final score was 5-0. Goals were scored by Lily Stone (2), Zeta McDannels, Baye Biddix, and Cameron Beecham. Assists were completed by Zeta McDannels (3), Cameron Beecham, and Mia Chambliss.

“We scored in the 3rd minute and did not back down the entire game. Our girls played well and kept good possession despite 30 mph winds. We had great finishes and stayed checked in the entire game to keep that shutout,” said Girls Soccer Coach Lauren Denning.

Coach Denning commends Frenship’s goalies for blocking out every opportunity attempted by Eastwood.

“Keepers Bella Medrano and Zoie Martinez came up with some big saves, and the backline stayed strong. We feel like we’re in a good spot moving forward and excited to see what we can do in the next game,” said Coach Denning.

The Tigers advance to the Area Playoffs against Keller, Thursday March 28, at 6:00 p.m. at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene.

Tickets for the game can be purchased HERE. Please note that cash will not be accepted at the gate.

Best of luck, Girls Soccer!
