Frenship Softball Takes down San Angelo Central and Midland Legacy

The winning streak continues for the Frenship Softball Team! The Tigers have been keeping the bases loaded at recent games. The final score against the San Angelo Central Bobcats was 7-4. The final score against the Midland Legacy Rebels was 5-2.

Assistant Softball Coach, Anna Williams, is happy with how the Tigers have been keeping the undefeated winning streak alive.

“Against San Angelo, Kelvie Roberts had two singles with two RBIs and two singles. Ava Ramirez also had a great game with two singles and three RBIs. Alex Rangel held it down at shortstop with five putouts and a double play. Lexi Clark pitched the entire game, having 3 strikeouts,” said Coach Williams.

The match against Midland Legacy moved the Tiger’s District record up to 6-0 and 20-7 overall.

"The Tigers had three players blast home runs: Brooklyn Esqueda and Lex Garcia had one home run each while Ava Garcia had two home runs! Natalie Mendoza and Kelvie Roberts had themselves a night at the plate going 2 for 3 with two singles a piece. Kynlee Bowlin had a tremendous night on the mound with 13 strikeouts and no walks through the whole seven innings,” said Coach Williams.

The Tigers are striving to keep their record of being undefeated in District alive as they face Midland High this evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Midland.

Good luck, Frenship Softball!
