The standards in Texas and Frenship ISD are the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). The TEKS provide a framework for the written, tested and taught curriculum. Every student must have the opportunity to learn the TEKS for his/her grade level in any school or classroom in the district.

 

The curriculum in Frenship ISD provides the course scope and sequence and a timeline for each subject. Teachers follow the scope and sequence so students will be prepared for district-level common assessments. These assessments give teachers opportunities to assess what concepts their students have mastered and what concepts need continued instruction or re-teaching. Instructional maps outlining what is taught each reporting period are available to teachers and administrators.
