On June 30, 2022, the USDA federal waivers that made it possible for Frenship ISD to serve free breakfast and lunch to students during the pandemic have expired. As a result, Frenship must go back to charging for school meals and offering the free and reduced-priced meals.

FRENSHIP ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE. βTHE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 4.873% PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $48.73.
