Frenship High School Senior Makes History as First YWCA Youth Leadership Honoree

Frenship High School senior Brinkley Coker has made history as the first Frenship student to receive the YWCA Youth Leadership Award. Recognized for her excellence in academics, athletics, and service, Coker’s impact reaches far beyond the classroom. Her leadership continues to inspire both her peers and the Lubbock community.

Frenship High School Chess Club Earns State Champion Title with Checkmate Finish

Earlier this month, the Frenship High School Chess Club made school history by earning the title of JV State Champions at the 2026 Texas Chess Association Super State Tournament. Following their standout performance, the six-member team is now set to compete on the national stage at the USCF National Chess Tournament in Chicago on March 27.

FRENSHIP ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEARS TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY -4.227% PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $10.15
