Frenship ISD Reaches Record Heights in Enrollment

When Frenship ISD opened its doors this week, it welcomed a record 10,108 students. Last year's first day of school enrollment was 9,827 students. This year's largest class is 6th grade with 882 students. The 7th grade class comes in second with 857 students and 8th grade sits at 750. 

Frenship ISD is one of 75 districts in Texas, or 7.3 percent of all school districts in the state, designated as a Fast Growth District. This means that Frenship ISD has an enrollment of at least 2,500 students and that enrollment growth has been at least 10 percent over the past five years. Frenship ISD is on a 3 percent growth trajectory on average each year, growing 11.35 percent in five years.

This year's more than 10,000 students in Frenship ISD span 14 campuses and 123 square miles across Lubbock and Wolfforth.

Frenship ISD has seen a tremendous amount of growth over the years but has always been dedicated to serving its students and staff since its start in 1935. No matter the size, the district stays true to its vision to “Seek Perfection … Capture Excellence” in the lives of every student.
