Frenship ISD students and staff came together across multiple campuses to support the annual Miracle Pennies fundraiser, benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network and UMC Children’s Hospital. Through a variety of campus-led activities, the district raised more than $24,000 to support children across the South Plains.

Jessica Hantz, a life skills teacher at Bennett Elementary School, has been named the May Teacher on the Rise recipient, recognized for her dedication to serving special needs students and the positive, lasting impact she makes in the lives of her students each day.

Last week, several Frenship elementary schools received dollhouses designed and built by Memorial High School students. The interior design and construction students collaborated to make the dollhouses, allowing the students to explore the professional relationship between construction and interior designers.

Last week, Westwind Elementary and Willow Bend Elementary joined over a dozen area elementary schools for the annual Lubbock Area Elementary Championship Track Meet. Students raced in multiple events, showing determination, teamwork, and school spirit every step of the way.

Frenship ISD recognized nine students during a special signing event on May 13, as they committed to serve in the United States military following graduation.

On Tuesday, May 12, Frenship ISD hosted its annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) Signing Day, celebrating Frenship High School seniors as they committed to continue their education and career training in a variety of high-demand fields.

On May 12, the Frenship High School Fine Arts Department celebrated students continuing their passions in the arts at the collegiate level during the annual Fine Arts Signing Day ceremony.

Frenship ISD proudly hosted the 27th Annual Frenship High School Superintendent’s Academic Excellence Banquet on May 13, celebrating the academic achievements of the top 10 students in the sophomore, junior, and senior classes at Frenship High School.

This month’s theme for Mental Health Minute is Courage. As a component of the 2021 Strategic Plan Initiative, the goal of the Mental Health Minute is to spread awareness of mental health across Frenship ISD.

Students from Frenship High School and Memorial High School recently competed at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference in Nashville. Students delivered a historic performance, earning a national championship title, an additional top-10 placement, and achieving the largest group of national qualifiers in program history.
