Kindergarten Student Makes Huge Purchase at Campus Book Fair

Kindergarten students are taught many things in class every day. Letters, numbers, writing, math - all of these things are required for teachers to include in their lesson plans, but Frenship has implemented new teachings to incorporate into the classroom this year.

Kinder Student Gives BackFrenship ISD has encouraged teachers, staff and students to practice The Frenship Way: Smile, Engage, Respect, Volunteer and Encourage or SERVE. Good manners, being polite and showing good character are essential to being a successful learner, student and friend.

For one Kindergarten student at North Ridge Elementary, Harper, she decided to SERVE her classmates in a unique way. The campus book fair was being held, and students had the chance to go take a look at all of the books and get an idea of which ones they wanted to purchase.

Harper noticed some students in her class who weren't able to purchase any of the books they were reading, so she decided to bring some extra money the next day and surprise her friends.

The next day when her class went to the library, Harper used the extra money she brought and gifted six of her friends with books of their own from the book fair.

What a great example of The Frenship Way, Harper!
