Tiger Softball Stands Tall in Tough Tourney Test

The Tigers opened play Thursday morning with a 10-6 victory over the Brenham Cubettes, highlighted by a Gel Abila leadoff home run to center field. The Tigers followed immediately with a 5-3 victory over Lake Travis.
 
On Friday the opening game versus Boerne saw Madison Stewart slam two taters, she finished the game 2-3, 2R, 3RBI, 2HR. The Tigers first loss of the weekend came to Leander Lions 8-6. Frenship entered the final frame trailing 8-2 and battled with two outs plating one on a Qo’Be Harvest line drive and three more on a Maya Mongelli dinger. Mongelli finished that game 2-2, 2R, 3RBI, BB, HR.
 
The Tigers finished on a high note splitting the Saturday games beating Pilot Point 4-3 and dropping the final game to an impressive Forney team who is ranked #1 in the state in 5A. Frenship will be back in action on the road at the Turf Wars Tournament in Trophy Club, TX facing Denton Guyer, Byron Nelson, Timber Creek, Southlake Carroll, Fossil Ridge, and Lovejoy.
