Frenship once again hosted the Don Black Relays last weekend, playing host to 15 schools from West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. The Tiger Boys team tied for 1st Place with Lubbock Cooper and the Tiger Girls team came in 2nd Place overall.

 

Some highlights from the weekend include a 1st Place finish in the Women’s 4x100 Meter Relay for the Tiger team of Reanna Argullin, Jillian Cowart, Gabrielle Deleon, and Jaliyah Jackson in 48.71, breaking a meet record that has stood since 2002. The 4x100 Men’s team of Daniel Garland, Daegan Webb, Brooks Hocutt, and Elijah Gomez earned a 2nd Place finish with a time of 43.07.

 

Cooper Scott earned a 1st Place finish in the 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 14.85 and a 2nd Place finish in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a 39.20. In the Women’s 400 Meter Dash Jillian Cowart earned 2nd Place with a time of 59.42 and Jaliyah Jackson earned 2nd Place in the 200 Meter Dash with a 24.76. Jentre Kennedy grabbed 2nd Place in the Women’s Triple Jump with a jump of 34-04.5.

The Frenship Girls Golf Team narrowly missed placing at the Shadow Hills Invitational but Lainey Christan placed 3rd overall earning another individual honor. Christan also placed 3rd at the Frenship Invitational in early February.
