Frenship Soccer Battles in Two District Matches

The Tigers took on Odessa Permian at the Frenship High School Soccer Pitch last Friday night, and though their figh was valiant, they weren't able to hold off the Panthers and fell 2-3.

“It was just a tough break having two of the strong teams in district in one week,” Frenship Girls Soccer Heac Coach Lauren Denning said. “We have to focus on what we can do today to get ready for tomorrow, and tomorrow for the next game.”

The Tigers traveled to Midland to take on Midland Legacy earlier this week on Tuesday, February 1. The Tigers learned from their loss against the Panthers and dominated against the Midland Legacy Lady Rebels to bring home the W, 4-1.

The Tigers will be back out on the pitch on Monday, February 7 against Abilene High after their previously scheduled game was postponed due to inclement weather.

Boys Soccer

Frenship Boys Soccer took on Odessa Permian at home last Friday, January 28. The undefeated in District 2-6A Tigers held onto their perfect status by defeating the Panthers 2 nil.

“We’re the ones to beat now, so we have to be ready,” Frenship Boys Soccer Head Coach Scott Smith said after his teams dominating performance against Odessa Permian.

On Tuesday, February 2 the Tigers traveled to Midland to face the Midland Legacy Rebels where the Tigers fell 4 nil.

Frenship will face Abilene High in a rescheduled match at Frenship on Monday, February 7.
