Every morning the students at Westwind Elementary deliver the announcements on their morning news broadcast, KPAW. Last week, they had a professional guest join them during announcements for a special broadcast on World Meteorologist Day.  

Chief Meteorologist Jacob Riley from KLBK, spent his time on air at KPAW teaching about predicting the weather and the different types of weather. He also talked with the students about what all goes into becoming a meteorologist (college, science, math, reading), how important it is to go to school, and the importance of being kind. 

While on the news, students were able to send in questions for Riley to answer on air. After he met with teachers and spoke to a group who was gathered in the library where he answered even more questions.
