Boys Basketball Takes the Lead in District Play

Let’s just say the Tigers are not afraid of the Rebels or the Panthers. The Boys served up two major wins over Midland Legacy on January 19 and Odessa Permian on January 23. The final score against Midland Legacy was 81-49, and the final score against Odessa Permian was 78-53.

After being on the road the past two games, boys Head Basketball Coach Paul Page commends the team for putting up a strong defense to set the team up for two big wins.

“We have had two big back-to-back road wins for us the last two games against Legacy and Permian.  We played well early on against Legacy, paced off the bench by Leyton Stone, who led us in scoring with 18 points.” said Coach Page. “Our defensive pressure allowed us to create the turnovers and transition opportunities we needed to pull away in the second half.”
