As the school year wraps up, the Class of 2024 is eager to begin their next chapter. This week, twenty-seven athletes signed to continue their athletic journey in the fall. Not only did Frenship celebrate the athletes’ new steps in their careers, Frenship also celebrated new milestones.

For the first time in Frenship history, a powerlifting student signed his letter of intent. Head Powerlifting Coach Dusty Robinson is very proud and excited for the future of powerlifting at Frenship and beyond.

“Michael Garza will be the first ever student athlete here at Frenship High School who will be signing his NIL to compete in Powerlifting at the college level,” said Coach Robinson. “Powerlifting is one of the fastest growing sports that colleges are now competing in. This is a great opportunity for Michael and his future.”

Another memorable part of the signing was the celebration of Frenship’s first dual-sport athlete, Jeremiah Adams, who signed to pursue both Boys Soccer and Cheer in college.

“Jeremiah is a coach's dream. He came in as a brand-new cheerleader and grew every day,” said Kayci Smith, Head Cheer Coach. “He demanded perfection and came in ready to put in the work every day. No surprise he is the first dual signee. He is an amazing athlete and an even better person."

"The title of "Frenship's first dual-signer" couldn't be given to a more deserving human being," said Scott Smith, Boys Head Soccer Coach. "Any and every coach will enjoy having Jeremiah Adams as part of their programs."

At the signing the 5A-6A Cheerleader of the Year Award was presented to Annabelle Bennet from Sam Tipton Executive Director of the Texas Girls Coaches Association.

“Annabelle is the fifth cheerleader at Frenship High School to receive this award, that is more than any other school in the state of Texas,” said Tipton.”
