The BPA national competition, hosted at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center, brought together thousands of students from 24 states and four countries, including China, Canada, and South Korea. Frenship ISD was represented by 11 students across both high schools who advanced to the national level through their performance in business, finance, and media-related events. 

Frenship High School students Charisma Hile, Bryan Ndi, Danny Nguyen, and Mikayla Roberts secured the title of National Champions in the Presentation Team event. Students were challenged to present research to a fictional school IT department regarding the risks of student data collection. The team collaborated with local industry professionals and Frenship ISD Central Office staff to refine their presentation, research, and design. 

Atlas Jones and Keegan Durrett from FHS placed ninth nationally in Video Production. Their project highlighted the automotive industry through a partnership with Sunset Automotive owner Artie Thomas, focusing on the realities of owning and operating a business in the trade sector. During the final round of competition, students were given a prompt and four hours to produce a completed video, demonstrating creativity and technical skill under pressure. 

Frenship Memorial High School also made program history as Lily Adams was the school’s first BPA national qualifier, competing in Digital Media Production (Associate Chapter). 

“Watching these students evolve from their first practice to the national stage has been one of my proudest moments as an educator,” said Molly Arellano, Frenship High School AV teacher and BPA sponsor. “Their dedication, professionalism, and teamwork represent the very best of our school. I couldn't be prouder to be their coach and to celebrate this historic win with them!”
