With 15 years of experience in education and a passion for helping students and educators reach their full potential, Amanda Richardson joins Terra Vista Middle School ready to build meaningful relationships and foster a positive school culture.
Richardson began her career in education as a science and physical education teacher and coach, serving students in Levelland and Littlefield for 12 years. She later earned her Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University before serving the past two years as Principal at Olton Junior High.
For Richardson, joining Frenship was an easy decision because of the district's strong reputation and commitment to excellence.
"I was led to Frenship because it's known for its strong leadership, collaborative culture, and commitment to student success, all while following the 'Frenship Way,'" said Richardson. "Frenship ISD offers opportunities to work alongside experienced administrators, contribute to innovative practices, and continue developing my leadership skills in a high-performing education environment."
As she begins her new role, Richardson is excited to invest in the students, staff, and families at Terra Vista while helping create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
"What excites me most is building meaningful relationships with students and staff and helping them grow over time," said Richardson. "I enjoy creating an environment where people feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to reach their full potential."
Richardson believes educational leadership is about helping others succeed and celebrating each milestone along the way.
"Seeing students gain confidence, achieve their goals, and overcome obstacles, while also helping teachers and staff develop professionally, is one of the most rewarding aspects of educational leadership," said Richardson. "Being part of that growth and celebrating those successes is what motivates me."
As she begins this new chapter at Terra Vista Middle School, Richardson looks forward to serving the Frenship community and making a lasting impact on students, staff, and families.
Welcome to your new role, Amanda Richardson! We are excited to see the positive impact you will make at Terra Vista Middle School.
