Seven Frenship students are set to perform in the 92nd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 22 from 9:00 am to noon on NBC.

According to the parade’s website, more than 3.5 million people in New York City and more than 50 million people at home tune into the parade each year. The Dance Gallery of Lubbock has been sending dancers to the parade for 22 years and this year, seven of the nine dancers are Frenship students. Of the seven Frenship dancers, two are seniors and five are juniors. The seniors, Katie Stanford and Payton Reeves, both danced in the 2016 parade.

The Frenship students will begin their Macy’s Parade journey at a rehearsal in New York City on Saturday, November 17. They will be dancing as members of the Spirit of America group comprised of 654 dancers. Pictured is the costume the dancers will wear in the parade.

The dancers from Frenship have more than 100 years of combined dance experience, most starting at age three or four. In addition to dance, these girls are involved in band, choir, FFA, tennis, mentoring elementary students, all-school musical and more.

As part of your Thanksgiving festivities, make sure to tune in to watch Frenship’s finest perform in the world’s largest parade!
