Last weekend, the Frenship Cross Country teams competed in the Lubbock Christian University High School Preview cross country meet in order to train for the District meet this Friday.

Last Friday night the Frenship Tigers faced the Odessa Permian Panthers at People’s Bank Stadium, and after getting a second wind weren’t able to clinch the win.

On October 1, Texas Tech Credit Union (TTCU) surprised three Frenship teachers with $500 each as part of their annual Classroom Cash Giveaway to support education across the South Plains.

The Tigers have been dominating on the court recently. Right now, Frenship sits at 6-1 in District 2-6A play after defeating Odessa Permian last Friday and Odessa High on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Frenship hosted a Strategic Planning Education Summit, the first of many steps in a planning process that will provide valuable feedback in order to shape Frenship’s future.

During their teacher’s collaborative team time, students at Westwind Elementary learned about the Dewey Decimal System by having a relay race in the library.

Last Saturday, October 2, Frenship Cross Country traveled to Canyon High School to compete in the Canyon High School Cross Country Meet.

October is National Fire Prevention Month and first graders at Upland Heights Elementary got a hands on lesson in fire safety this week.

Students in the Dual Language program at Willow Bend Elementary and Terra Vista Middle School competed in the District Spanish Spelling Bee on Thursday. The top four from each campus make up the Spanish Spelling Bee team for their school.

Last Saturday, Frenship Cross Country competed in the Lubbock Invitational Meet at Mae Simmons in Lubbock.
