The Tiger Powerlifters represented Frenship High School at their powerlifting meet in Brownfield last weekend. More than 10 athletes competed for Frenship and four placed in their perspective weight classes.

At the conclusion of the first semester, the FHS Ninth Grade Center put on a chess tournament for the students and staff. Fifteen students entered the single-elimination student division, and six staff members entered the round-robin style staff division.

Digital Citizenship is a concept that teaches our students how to use technology appropriately; similar to teaching kids to be good citizens. This month students are learning about Cyberbullying and Digital Drama.

Last month, 62 FHS and Ninth Grade Center Band and Choir students were named finalists in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-Region competitions. After competing in the All-State competitions, three band and three choir students earned the prestigious honor of being named Texas All-State Musicians.

Frenship High School’s cheer team performed in their fifth appearance at the Spirit State Championship in Fort Worth, TX on Thursday, January 13. They placed 9th in the finals round in the Division 2 – 6A bracket.

Frenship is honored by the service and dedication of our seven school board members. This group acts as the school district's policy-making board and is the official representative of the people for all public education in Frenship ISD.

The FHS boys soccer team played this week at Estacado in preparation for the start of district play coming up later in January. The Tigers brought home a victory in an epic defeat 8-0 over the Matadors.

Fifth grade science teacher Elizabeth Jack hosted an “alternative” Science Fair for students after the annual Regional Science Fair, normally hosted by Texas Tech, was canceled.

Carmen Cervantez is a crucial player on the Frenship Varsity Girls’ Soccer Team this year. After a crazy season last school year, Carmen has signed to play after graduating high school, and is giving it her all in her final season at Frenship.
