Students in Mrs. Guel’s 2nd Grade Math classes at Westwind Elementary went on a scavenger hunt for marked figures around the school.

Frenship Middle School’s Matthew Noel stood on stage and correctly spelled the word “koan” to win the regional spelling bee for the second year in a row.

It was a bi-district sweep for the Frenship Tiger soccer programs last Thursday afternoon as both the boys and girls claimed a first-round win and championship trophy in dominating fashion.

Dominant pitching and timely hitting has been the recipe for success this season for FHS softball. Last week, the recipe worked again as the Tigers swept two more district games.

Frenship baseball split a pair of games with Odessa High last week and remains atop the standings in District 2-6A.

The Frenship Academic UIL traveled to Odessa last Friday and Saturday for the district competition and came home with the District Sweepstakes trophy (a win by more than 100 points).

Five Frenship Tigers were surprised to each receive a $2,500 Leadership Scholarship from the Chick-fil-A Scholarship Foundation.
