Elementary schools across the district take advantage of National Fire Safety Month and teach students about all things fire prevention and safety.

The Frenship Marching band continues their successful streak, as they earn a 1st Division rating at the Regional UIL Marching competition and head to the area contest in El Paso this weekend.

Last Friday, the Tigers had a tough battle against the Midland High Bulldogs, falling 38-28. Head Football Coach, Jay Northcutt is hoping that the team will secure a District win soon.

The Tiger Cross Country team traveled to Odessa for the District meet on Thursday, October 12, where they came in second place overall. The team is now preparing for the Regional Meet at the end of October.

After a memorable District match, the Tigers continued to steal the show on Tuesday at the Bi-District Championship against El Paso Montwood. The Tigers swept the court against the Rams with a final score of 12-1.

History was made on the Frenship High School Tennis Courts last Friday. The team snagged the District Championship victory over the San Angelo Central Bobcats. The team feels immensely grateful to walk away with this trophy.

Westwind Elementary teacher Amanda Marinez held an NFL Draft for her second-grade students to help them tackle different math concepts.

Thanks to a local community partner, Frenship students will be able to safely view the solar eclipse happening this weekend. Code Ninjas donated more than 1,000 solar glasses to all Frenship fifth graders and the high school astronomy classes.

The Tigers traveled to Odessa last weekend for the West Texas Boys Classic Tournament and brought home the second-place title, only one stroke short of first place.
