High School UIL Classifications

The following 2026-2028 Reclassification and Realignment information was released by UIL on February 2, 2026. This includes information for football, basketball, and volleyball. Alignments for all other events will be released by UIL later this spring.

FOOTBALL:

Frenship High School and Frenship Memorial High School - Conference 5A Division 1, District 2

District 2 includes: Frenship High, Frenship Memorial, Abilene, Amarillo, Amarillo Caprock, Amarillo Tascosa, Lubbock, Lubbock Monterey

BASKETBALL & VOLLEYBALL:

Frenship High School and Frenship Memorial High School - Conference 5A, District 3

District 3 includes: Frenship High, Frenship Memorial, Amarillo, Amarillo Caprock, Amarillo Palo Duro, Amarillo Tascosa, Lubbock, Lubbock-Cooper, Lubbock Coronado, Lubbock Monterey

FRENSHIP HIGH SCHOOL

2025-2026 UIL CLASSIFICATION

Frenship High School athletics will remain classified as 6A for the 2025-2026 school year.

All sports (except wrestling): District 2 – 6A

- - Frenship High, Midland High, Midland Legacy, Odessa High, Odessa Permian, San Angelo Central

Wrestling: District 2 – 6A

- - Frenship High, Crowley, Ft. Worth Boswell, Keller, Keller Central, Keller Timber Creek, North Crowley, Northwest, Northwest Eaton, Byron Nelson, Weatherford

FRENSHIP MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL

2025-2026 UIL CLASSIFICATION

Frenship Memorial High School athletics will be classified as 4A for the 2025-2026 school year. The assigned District will vary depending on the sport.

Football: Frenship Memorial football will not be placed in a District and will play an “outlaw” schedule for the 2025-2026 school year. This schedule will be finalized later this spring.

Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Softball, Spring Sports (Golf, Spring Tennis, Track), Volleyball: District 5 – 4A
