I am very affected by my environment and I feel as though children are even more so and essentially what I want every child who walks into my room to well is that they are loved and cherished and safe and no matter what happened outside those doors the second they walk in here they can let down all of those things and all of those barriers and memory so they can be here and ready to learn I I feel like in life even though important to you and there's nothing more important to me then of course my family and this is my extended family right here in Northridge to make it feel fun and inviting welcoming I love dr. Seuss and we read dr. Seuss a lot of doctors books me first grade so I thought it would be a thing that the kids could relate to and would really enjoy the characters I think it's important to have a place that feels fine and inviting and its colorful it does take a lot of time but a lot of time and my goal is to have kids to be here and that they enjoy being here that they had get excited about school I don't want to miss I don't want them to feel like I want to stay home today so my goal is to kind of have the same spine and pleasing to the eyes but they want to be at school and they don't want to say it I think it's important to decorate your room so that the kids that come in fill it and it's a space that is inviting and warm and loving and that they have it's kind of a collection of a lot of things and my mom taught first grade as well as many many years ago so I inherited a lot of her things since I like to incorporate those as well old books on tape that athletic tape recorder for and things like that just like things bright and inviting so I went with kind of full bright colors and lots of fun the main reason is because this is my home for 9 months I wanted to be a place that I love to come to colorful bright and Spa and I want my kids to feel that way so I know if I feel that way that is contagious and I think my kids will feel that way as well as far as decorating my classroom I feel like it's inviting I feel like when the kids come over and meet the teacher night they look around and like I'm going to love it here I am a super crafty person so I used to be a florist I just pull all those fun things about me to boys my glasses oh I think I decorate my classroom extravagantly as I do cuz I remember those classrooms that were decorated and really bright and colorful the most when I was in elementary school and I remember thinking that those extra things made it feel like home so I know that my kids are here for most of their day during the week and I want to make this feel like as much of a home as I can for them while they're here I think if you decorate your classroom and makes it more inviting for the kids and text it to me as well I think it's just coming up with the idea that I don't like to keep the same classroom as soon as you can. Do you like the black in the bright colors I just stick with that but if you come next year you'll see that how many different because I do get a lot of siblings as well and I like to change it up and just for me as well
