Frenship Baseball Banks Ninth Win in a Row

The Tigers have only four games to go in District play and are currently sitting in second place.

On the mound, Hayden Kennard kept the Tigers ahead with four perfect innings. Kennard only gave up three hits and one run.

Frenship Baseball Head Coach Chad Reynolds said he was impressed with Kennard's throwing.

"He threw a complete game," Reynolds said. "Struck out 4 and didn’t walk anyone. Anytime we can pitch like that I feel good about our chances."

Reynolds said offensively Brock Rogers led the way with two hits and one RBI. He said his team only had eight total hits but made the most of them.

"There were several guys with one hit each," Reynolds said.

As they prepare to finish off District play, Reynolds said he is working on consistency and control.

"I expect a very competitive series the rest of the way," Reynolds said. "Odessa is a well-coached team that always plays the game the right way.  We are just trying to stay consistent and play hard each and every time out. We control our own destiny to win a District Championship, so we just have to keep playing the game the right way and competing hard!"

Reynolds said he is happy with his team this season and so proud of all they have accomplished.

"Our guys are having fun playing the game and are really committed to what it takes for this team to be successful," Reynolds said. "It is a fun group to coach!"
