Sweet Military Surprise at Frenship Middle School

Airman First Class, Symaron Marinez serves in the U.S. Air Force and has been stationed in the Kunsan Air Base in South Korea for the last 9-10 months.

Her younger brother, Nick Martinez, thought she would be coming back later and was pleasantly surprised to turn around in his Athletics class and see his sister walking up behind him.

“I was so lost, I didn’t know she was going to be here so early, so I was super shocked,” said Nick.

Symaron shares that she is happy to be back home after 15 hours of travel from South Korea.

“It was fun to surprise him, and I was really excited to see Nick, I missed all his sports this year so I’m excited to be back,” said Symaron.

Nick says the first thing they are going to do is get ice cream to celebrate.

Welcome home, Symaron!
