Frenship High School Seniors to be Honored at Last Home Football Game

Our Football team, Band students, Cheerleaders, Pom Squad, Bell Crew members, Frenship.TV students, and Athletic Trainers and Managers know that Friday night lights is where the fun is. Over the last four years most of them have spent countless hours on the field, sidelines, and stands, supporting the Frenship Tigers.

With over 40 seniors making up each of these groups, they’ve created numerous life-long memories over the years. Their coaches, directors, teachers, and advisors have spent time looking back on the season and were asked to describe their group of seniors in one word. Check out what they have to say!

Football Team & Football Managers

  • Grit
  • “These seniors have shown nothing but "True Grit" by always having a next play mentality and an almost uncanny knack for grinding out close games and finding a way to win! We will continue to see reflections of them for years to come in our Tiger Football Program! Once a Tiger always a Tiger,” said Head Football Coach Jay Northcutt.

Band

  • Resilient
  • “These graduating seniors started their high school band careers during the Covid pandemic. They have overcome so many different aspects of social, physical, and musical barriers. We appreciate their resilience and continuing the great legacy of the Frenship Band,” said Band Director Scott Carter.

Cheer

  • Committed
  • “This group of seniors has shown so much grit and determination, but what has been special about them is their commitment to their sport and every other sport on this campus. It is unwavering and inspiring; they love their Tigers and show it with clear eyes and full hearts. They are committed to this sport and with that comes hard work and giving lots of time to everyone on the field, the court and on our mat. They have my heart and will always be a very special class,” said Kayci Smith, Varsity Cheer Coach.

Pom

  • Driven
  • “This group of seniors are driven by excellence and hard work. Each and every day they show up ready to lead their team and push them to be better than the day before. This is an exceptional group of seniors that I am going to miss so very much,” said Melissa Oakeley, Varsity Pom Coach.

Bell Crew

  • Loyal
  • "No matter the score this crew has the football team's back. Their energy never waivers," said Jake Lierman, Bell Cew Sponsor.

Athletic Trainers

  • Diligent
  • “Our athletic training students are extremely hardworking and meticulous. They are driven by compassion, with a willingness to serve our sports programs and athletes,” said Dustin Rush, Head Athletic Trainer.

Frenship.TV

  • Willing
  • “They are willing to go with the flow, to learn, to work hard, to be the best they can be to serve the community and to make things amazing. I'm so proud that they were willing to work with me, and to go on this Frenship.tv journey together. Best Stream Team this side of the Mississippi,” said Molly Arellano, Frenship.TV Teacher and Sponsor.

These seniors will be honored at the last home football game on Friday, October 27 at 6:30 p.m. during the pre-game events at Peoples Bank Stadium.

Congratulations, seniors!
