Frenship Unified Track Dominates Area Meet

This past Wednesday, April 3, was a wonderful day for the Frenship Unified Track Team as they competed in the Unified Area Meet. The Tigers took home the gold with a total of 130 team points.

Frenship Unified Coach Kayci Smith shares that this year’s team brings her true joy. The athletes genuinely enjoy spending time with one another.

“They are more than a Team- they are a unit. A family. They love each other fiercely, cheer for each other and they support each other,” said Coach Smith. “At any given time during their breaks from events, you can find them dancing, making TikToks, sitting and chatting, taking selfies, and just enjoying each other’s company.”

The impact of Unified Track goes beyond the track field, it extends throughout the entire school.

“It extends in the hallways, cafeteria and classroom. They really are friends. This sport has fostered so many amazing things at Frenship, but also within our area. I’m so proud of the integrity and amazing character these kids show. They teach me kindness, love, compassion, heart and JOY every single day,” said Coach Smith.
