Frenship Memorial High School Names Head Girls Track Coach

Frenship is happy to welcome Jacob Dangerfield to the Frenship Memorial Panther Family as the first Head Girls Track Coach. With over a decade of experience in coaching and education, Dangerfield brings a deep commitment to student success, leadership development, and athletic excellence.

“I’ve always had a passion for working with young people and helping them grow both academically and athletically,” said Dangerfield. “After several years coaching and teaching across Texas, I was drawn to Frenship because of its strong reputation for excellence, community involvement, and its commitment to student success. The opportunity to be part of a district that values relationships and high expectations made this a clear next step in my journey.”

This marks Dangerfield’s 13th year in education. Over the years, he has served in multiple school districts across Texas, including Ralls, Lamesa, Crane, Slaton, and Conroe, coaching both football and track.

“I’ve worked with a wide range of students and athletes, helping them set and exceed personal goals on and off the field,” he said. “I joined the Frenship Memorial team because of the potential in building an incredible culture, support system, and the chance to be part of something that’s truly student-centered.”

As the new school year begins, Dangerfield is looking forward to building strong relationships with his athletes and their families.

“I’m most excited to start building relationships with our students, staff, and families,” said Dangerfield. “There’s nothing more rewarding than watching student-athletes grow in confidence and leadership, and I look forward to being a part of their journey from day one.”

In addition to his role as an educator and coach, Dangerfield also brings a background in military service to his leadership style.

“I proudly served as a combat medic (68 Whiskey) in the U.S. Army and bring that same discipline and care into everything I do,” he said. “I’m married to my amazing wife, Audra, and we have four wonderful children—three boys and one girl. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and staying active.”

Frenship ISD is proud to welcome Jacob Dangerfield to the team and looks forward to the impact he will make as the new Head Girls Track Coach at Frenship Memorial High School.
