With seven years of educational experience and a heart for student growth, Cody Coyle steps into his new role as Assistant Principal at Frenship High School with excitement to return to the district that helped shape his career. 

After earning his master’s degree from Texas Tech University in May 2020, Coyle found his way to Frenship during the pandemic and immediately connected with the district’s culture and sense of community. 

“Everyone was a Tiger, and that meant treating one another like family,” said Coyle. “When the opportunity arose to return to Frenship as an assistant principal, it was an opportunity I could not pass up. I am excited to come back home and continue serving the district that played such an important role in my career.” 

Coyle brings experience from several roles throughout his career. He previously served as a Physical Education Aide at Legacy Elementary, an Adapted PE Teacher in Frenship ISD for four years, and most recently as Assistant Principal at Abernathy High School. 

As he steps into his new role at Frenship High School, Coyle is eager to invest in students during one of the most influential seasons of their lives. 

“I am most excited about the opportunity to make a positive impact on students during such an important stage of their lives,” said Coyle. “High school is a pivotal time as students prepare to become young adults, and I strive to be a positive role model who helps them build confidence, develop character, and discover their potential.” 

Coyle’s goal is to provide students with the support, encouragement, and tools they need to achieve their goals and pursue their aspirations beyond high school. 

Returning to Frenship also means reconnecting with the people and relationships that made a lasting impact on him. 

“From the moment I arrived at Frenship in 2020, I was treated like family,” said Coyle. “People are always willing to lend a helping hand and support one another. There are several staff members across the district who have had a tremendous impact on my life, both personally and professionally, and for that I will always be grateful.” 

Outside of school, Coyle enjoys spending time with his wife, Brette, and their two daughters, Berkley and Camryn. Their family is excited to return to Big Cat Country and begin this new chapter together.
