The City of Wolfforth recognized the 2026 Harvest Queen candidates during the Frenship High School football game on Friday, September 11.
Each year, Frenship High School seniors interested in participating in the Harvest Queen program complete an application process that includes an essay highlighting their ideas and passion for a platform of their choice, followed by an interview. This year’s candidates represented a variety of academic, extracurricular, service, and leadership experiences.
The 2026 Harvest Queen candidates were Brisa Bernal, Lula Biondi, Karter Bowen, Haven Brown, Kaitlyn Hearron, Kelsey Inman, Alyssa Joiner, Kamry King, Kennedy King, Karsyn Laymon, Kenzie Love, Zoie Najera, Jocelyn Payne, Payton Pridmore, and Morgan Robinette.
The candidates were recognized during the game before the scholarship winners were announced.
Kenzie Love was named the winner of the Harvest Queen raffle and received a $100 gift card for selling the most raffle tickets among the candidates.
The 2026 Harvest Queen scholarship winners were:
- 2026 Harvest Queen: Karsyn Laymon, $1,500 scholarship
- First Runner-Up: Jocelyn Payne, $1,000 scholarship
- Second Runner-Up: Zoie Najera, $500 scholarship
Laymon is a Frenship High School senior and captain of Frenship Pom. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and plans to attend South Plains College before continuing her education at Texas Tech University to pursue a career in nursing and become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
The City of Wolfforth congratulates all 15 candidates and wishes them continued success as they pursue their goals beyond high school.
