The Frenship High School Varsity Madrigals Choir performed the Star-Spangled Banner to open the South Plains Honor Flight kickoff luncheon. The choir was invited by Angela Allen, a former Frenship choir parent and booster board member who now serves as president of the Texas South Plains Honor Flight Board. Allen's daughter, Audrey, was also an active member of the Frenship Choir and Madrigals during her time at FHS and recently participated in her first Honor Flight as a veteran guardian.

Founded in 2012, the South Plains Honor Flight provides veterans with a fully funded, three-day trip to Washington, D.C., to recognize and honor their military service. Each veteran is accompanied by a guardian who helps guide them throughout the experience.

"We are grateful for the opportunity to recognize and honor the veterans who have sacrificed so much in service to our country," said FHS Choir Director Amy Moss.

Awesome work, Tigers!
