This week at the First Friday Art Trail, several Frenship High School students will display and sell original artwork at the Therese Barrett Photography Studio. For the first time, four Frenship students will conduct a reading from their creative writing projects.

With the start of the new school year, Frenship High School Advanced Floral Design class is once again excited to offer the Flower of the Month Club. This program allows students to gain real-world, career-focused experience while also offering creative floral arrangements to Frenship staff.

Frenship ISD is proud to announce that one of its own has been selected to join the prestigious Macy’s Great American Marching Band. Bryson Owens will represent Frenship on a national stage, performing in the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City this November.

Frenship ISD is excited to announce Kyle Billett as the new assistant principal for Frenship Middle School.

Numerous Frenship High School band, orchestra, and choir students had very successful performances at the UIL Texas State and Solo Ensemble contests held at the end of May. Five Frenship students were awarded the "Outstanding Performer Award," which represents the highest attainment by an individual of superior musicianship. This award is only given out to 2-3% of solo performances.

On May 14, the Frenship High School Fine Arts Department held a signing for 15 students who are continuing their choir, band, theater, dance, orchestra, and art careers at the collegiate level.

On Tuesday, Frenship ISD hosted its 23rd annual Staff Appreciation Banquet to honor the district’s retirees, service pins awards of 20 years and up, and the campus support professionals of the year, rookie teachers of the year, and teachers of the year.

These Frenship High School students are typically behind the scenes, but now they'll take center stage as they advance to the State UIL Theatrical Design Contest later this month to show off their design skills for the set, makeup, costumes, and marketing plans.

Last weekend, 11 Frenship art students competed in the State Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) in San Marcos, with seven Frenship students' artworks receiving a Rating IV - Exemplary and a state medal.

Nine Frenship High School art students are venturing into the business side of art as they send several original ceramic artworks to be sold at the First Friday Art Trail.
