On February 22, orchestra students from all four Frenship ISD middle schools performed in the Region 16 Middle School Solo and Ensemble Evaluation with more than 80 students receiving a Division 1 Superior rating. These noteworthy recognitions highlight the success of the new orchestra program that was started last school year.

The Frenship High School Pom Squads made history last weekend in the Metroplex area, winning overall awards and marking the first time both squads have secured top honors in every possible category. Coach Melissa Oakeley is extremely proud of the Tigers and their continuous hard work.

Heritage Middle School Band Director Beth Ledbetter has been inducted into Phi Beta Mu, an International School Bandmaster Fraternity. This prestigious honor recognizes excellence in music education and leadership in the band directing profession.

Former Frenship High School band member Mia Zamora has achieved a prestigious milestone by earning a clarinet position with the U.S. Navy Fleet Band. Her journey from Frenship to this national honor showcases her dedication to music and service.

Amy Moss, Frenship High School’s Choir Director and Teacher was recently honored with the Wayland Baptist Educators Serving Texans (B.E.S.T) Award. This award was presented to nine Wayland Baptist graduates who are distinguished educators in public schools.

Several Frenship High School band students recently showcased their talents at the All-Region auditions and concerts. A total of 21 students earned spots in the All-Region Orchestra, while six students were selected for the All-Region Jazz Band.

Frenship High School’s Winterguard teams earned multiple top finishes in their season opener, including two first-place wins. The JV team was promoted twice, while the Varsity team secured a first and fourth-place finish.

Frenship High School senior Ryder Day will be the featured flute soloist for the Lubbock Youth Orchestra concert this spring. Ryder is looking forward to representing Frenship.

Frenship High School Senior, Landry White was selected to represent the Frenship Pom Squad among 300 of the best dancers at the Texas Dance Educators Association.

Last weekend, several Frenship Fine Arts students auditioned for various Texas All-State Music Ensembles. Four band students and four choir students earned coveted spots in these prestigious groups and will showcase their skills at the TMEA Clinic/Convention this February.
