Third grade ELAR students in Michelle Hiner’s class at North Ridge Elementary just completed a reading project where they followed the 2018 Iditarod races.

Fourth grade writing students at Oak Ridge Elementary are preparing for the STAAR test by competing in what they call STAAR Wars.

Frenship ISD is honored to announce that two teachers – Brianne Katilus from Frenship HS Ninth Grade Center and Honey Segrist from Bennett Elementary – have been selected as winners of the Beaumont Foundation’s 2018 Newton Excellence in Education Award.

Bennett Elementary third grade teacher Tina Sowder has been selected as a distinguished educators and finalist for the Lubbock Christian University Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Third graders at Westwind Elementary learned about ecosystems through a live action game involving deer, wolves and natural resources.

Frenship ninth grade student Gabrielle Louis submitted a proposal to World Food Prize Texas Youth Institute at Texas A&M University’s College of Agriculture & Life Sciences.

On March 7 and 8, the Frenship MS Gold and Blue Bands competed in the Region 16 UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest. Both bands received a Sweepstakes Award, which is the highest award given at the contest.

Two Frenship ninth grade students, Daniel Romero and Louie Al Artoufi, were chosen to represent Lubbock as Junior Ambassadors in Musashino City, Japan this summer.
