Last weekend, Frenship High School Theatre dominated at the One Act Play Area Competition. Their impressive performance earned them a spot at the Regional Competition, placing them among the top 24 schools in the state.

Over the past few weeks, students at Ridgewood Elementary have immersed themselves in learning about the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community through American Sign Language lessons. Library Assistant Alla Lujan, who is hearing impaired, guided the students in bridging the communication gap with hands-on lessons.

This month’s theme for Mental Health Minute is Mindfulness. As a component of the 2021 Strategic Plan Initiative, the goal of the Mental Health Minute is to spread awareness of mental health across Frenship ISD.

Heritage Middle School 7th grader Allison Riley was named a top six finalist at the National History Day State Competition in Austin. She was one of 16 Frenship ISD students who attended the statewide event.

Six Frenship ISD campuses participated in the H-E-B School Plastic Bag Recycling Challenge, collecting over 42,000 plastic bags that would have otherwise ended up in landfills. The district’s efforts helped promote sustainability and raise awareness about the importance of reducing single-use plastic waste.

Westwind Elementary third graders recently stepped into the construction zone to strengthen their writing skills through a fun classroom transformation. Students built, repaired, and revised sentences to boost their confidence in writing.

On April 10, Frenship ISD recognized several head and lead staff members for Fine Arts, Ag, and Athletics who are joining the Frenship Memorial High School Panther family.

Second-grade students at Oak Ridge Elementary embraced the excitement of March Madness with a basketball-themed math facts review. As students advance through the brackets, they strengthen their math skills, working their way toward victory.
