Starting in the summer of 2018, Frenship ISD teamed up with Aramark to provide an innovative solution to summer hunger across the area. In addition to providing meals to students at campuses holding summer school classes, meals were also provided at two City of Lubbock parks in Frenship ISD. By going to these parks, the barriers associated with transportation and working parents were removed, allowing children of all ages from all over nearby neighborhoods to access quality lunches.
Additionally, through a partnership between the Casey Professional Building, First Baptist Church of Lubbock, and Frenship Athletics, staff, students, and college interns spent time with attendees playing games and providing positive interactions. Staff from the Casey Professional Building attended each site daily throughout the summer as a building-wide service project to the students and families of Frenship ISD.
