Pre-Kindergarten Registration

 
Each of our Pre-Kindergarten teachers are highly qualified and trained in order to meet the needs of your preschool child. Frenship's Pre-Kindergarten is an all-day program meaning regular school hours (7:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m.) and the regular school calendar will be observed. We hope you will find the evidenced-based program to be an incredible learning experience for your “Little Tiger!” 
 
Who is Eligible?

Frenship ISD offers Pre-Kindergarten at all eight elementary campuses. To be eligible for enrollment, a child must be at least four years old on or before September 1, 2024. The program is offered to families in two ways: State Funded or Tuition Based.

A student must meet one of the following to be eligible for the state funded program. If you believe your child qualifies based on the criteria below, please contact the campus your child would attend. Not sure what campus to call? Click Here for the Attendance Boundaries.
 
  • Unable to speak and comprehend the English language as documented on the oral language proficiency test administered at registration. Testing for placement in the English as Second Language Program (ESL) will take place at Pre-Kindergarten registration. Parents whose children may qualify under this guideline need to bring their child with them.
  • From a family whose income is at or below subsistence level and meets the eligibility criteria for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program. Free and Reduced Lunch forms will available at registration. Parents will need to bring current proof of income for verification.
Examples include:
        • the last two paycheck stubs from working members of the household
        • A verification letter, notarized, on company letterhead from an employer stating your hours and salary you will be paid and how often if you have just begun a new job or are paid in cash
        • Any type of income must be included, including employment income, social security benefits,child support etc.  You must report how often it is received.
  • Active duty uniformed members (parents or official guardians) of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard who are assigned to duty stations in Texas or who are Texans who have eligible children residing in Texas; this includes activated/mobilized uniformed members of the Texas National Guard (Army or Air Guard), or activated/mobilized members of the reserve components of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard who are Texas residents regardless of the location of the reserve unit; and uniformed service members who are Missing in Action (MIA), or injured while on active duty.
  • Foster Care - Children who are in or who have ever been in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) following and adversary hearing. This includes children that have been adopted or returned to their parents after having been in DFPS conservatorship.
  • Homeless

Frenship ISD offers Tuition-Based Pre-Kindergarten to our staff and the community. The cost for this program is $4,250 for the school year. A non-refundable $200 deposit is required at time of application to reserve a spot. (Deposit will be applied to the $4,250 program cost). The deposit can be paid online at MySchoolBucks or included with the application if delivering a paper copy. Tuition payments can be made in full or in 9 monthly installments of $450.00 online at MySchoolBucks, in person at your campus, or via payroll deduction (employees only). Letters of acceptance for students selected for placement into the program or a letter to students placed on the wait list will be emailed or mailed to parents after selection.

My School Bucks Instructions:

  1.  Click on “MySchoolBucks” under Additional Resources, and then click on the “Visit Website” box. Or simply type in myschoolbucks.com into your browser.
  2. If you already have a MySchoolBucks account with your student added to the account, log in. Go to “School Store”, “Categories”, “Dues & Fees” and “PreK Application Deposit.”
If you need to create a MySchoolBucks account, click on “Sign Up Today”. Enter the required information, and then click the “Create An Account” button.  Go to “School Store”, “Categories”, “Dues & Fees” and “PreK Application Deposit” for the desired date. Then proceed to step #3.
  1. After selecting “PreK Application Deposit fill in the appropriate information, choose how much you want to pay at this moment, and add to your basket.

Monday - Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Closed on Friday
