The purpose of the Sick Leave Bank is to provide additional sick leave days to members of the Bank in the event of an unexpected qualifying incapacitating physical illness (hereafter “illness”) or qualifying incapacitating non-job related physical injury (hereafter “injury”) during regularly scheduled duty days, and beyond all available sick leave, personal leave, vacation and leisure bank time (if applicable), or any other type of available leave.
