On November 3, 2020, registered voters in the Frenship District approved a $299.7 million bond to accommodate Frenship’s growth. More than 90% of the $299.7 million bond was dedicated to building additional schools and renovating existing facilities to accommodate the 2-5% student enrollment growth each year.

Repurposing Ninth Grade Center to Frenship Middle School - Complete
With the opening of Frenship Memorial High School, the Ninth Grade Center campus was no longer needed to house ninth grade students and was repurposed to serve as the new Frenship Middle School campus beginning the 2025-2026 school year. Previously, Frenship Middle School was housed in the first and original Frenship high school built in 1935.
As part of the 2020 Bond projects, additions were added to the Ninth Grade Center campus to make it a stand-alone middle school with facilities that are equitable to other Frenship middle schools. Those additions included a fine arts wing with band and choir halls and athletic facilities such as a practice field and game day field designated specifically for the middle school.
What will happen to the old FMS building when the campus moves?
As we see student enrollment steadily climbing, the number of staff members is also increasing. With FMS now in its new home at 407 N. Dowden Road in Wolfforth, the old FMS building, located at 500 Main Street in Wolfforth, will be converted to the Frenship Professional Learner Center.
