For years, Frenship has been preparing for this rapid growth. This process began years ago with the creation of the Frenship Strategic Plan that includes positively seeking innovative solutions to address current and future growth while honoring Frenship's rich tradition of excellence. A Long Range Planning Committee was also formed in the Fall of 2019 to help guide the District in the decision making process. (See more in 'Planning Process')
Based on community input and expert studies on Frenship's growth, the Frenship Board of Trustees unanimously approved the call for a May 2, 2020** bond election to address the rapid growth. More than 90% of the proposed $299.7 million bond is dedicated to building additional schools and renovating existing facilities to accommodate increased student enrollment. This includes the construction of a second high school, a fourth middle school and a ninth elementary. (Click for breakdown of proposed bond projects)
**Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Frenship Board of Trustees authorized the postponement of the May 2, 2020 bond election to November 3, 2020.
